Mortgage endowment claims

If you believe you have a claim relating to a mortgage endowment policy, please complete our online Initial Questionnaire. To access the Initial Questionnaire, please click on the link at the bottom of this page.

The Initial Questionnaire will help you to establish whether or not you have a claim that we may be able to help with.

You will need the following information to use this service:

  • The firm's 6-digit reference number. This is the unique 6-digit reference number given to each authorised firm by the regulator. It is sometimes called the SIB or FSA number. If you have any problems finding this number, contact your mortgage endowment policy provider. They should be able to give you the reference number for the firm you originally dealt with. You might also be able to find this number by looking on the FSA's Register of firms or by calling their Helpline on 0845 606 1234.
  • The start date of your endowment policy. Unfortunately our rules don't allow us to investigate any potential claims that relate to advice given before 28 August 1988. This is the date when investment advice was first protected by an investor compensation scheme in the UK.

Before you complete the Initial Questionnaire, you may find our investment claims flowchart helpful.
