Morgans Insurance Broking Limited update

Morgans Insurance Broking Limited (formerly Morgans General Insurance Services Limited) entered administration on 15 February 2013.

The Joint Administrators of Morgans Insurance Broking Limited have provided correspondence to FSCS indicating that clients of the Company may be able to make a claim for compensation directly to FSCS.

Where sufficient information is held, clients have been sent an application form.

If you have not received an application form from FSCS and you would like to make a claim, please contact FSCS on freephone 0800 678 1100 or 020 7741 4100.

When contacting FSCS to make a claim, it is important that you are able to provide the following information:

  • Your full name and address
  • The full name of the advising firm you are claiming against
  • The date the advice was given, or alternatively when the investment/policy commenced
  • Any supporting documentation as evidence of dealings with the firm

FSCS has not yet declared the Company in default under its Rules, however it is anticipated that a declaration of default will be made shortly.

    A firm unable, or likely to be unable to pay claims against it. This will generally be because it has stopped trading and has insufficient assets to meet claims, or is in insolvency.
