Materials for deposit takers

Last updated: November 2025

Please note: The FSCS Protected disclosure materials on this page are for use by UK authorised deposit takers only. Other regulated firms cannot use these materials, but are able to use our brand logo and name if they meet our Terms & conditions.

PRA disclosure requirements

To help build and maintain customer awareness of FSCS we work closely with the financial services industry to promote FSCS protection to customers.

Disclosure requirements set by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) require all UK authorised banks, building societies and credit unions to inform new and existing customers that FSCS protects their deposits by displaying the FSCS Protected disclosure materials.

Deposit takers can also display the FSCS Protected badge across channels, which was developed to help increase awareness of FSCS and the financial protection it provides. Independent research shows that the badge helps to increase customer confidence, which in turn contributes to trust and overall financial stability in the UK.

FSCS Protected disclosure materials

Chapter 23 of the Depositor Protection section of the PRA Handbook outlines details where deposit takers must display the FSCS Protected disclosure materials. Deposit takers must prominently feature FSCS disclosure materials (posters, stickers and leaflets) in-branch.

Deposit takers can also feature the FSCS Protected badge on websites, mobile apps, FSCS customer information sheets, annual disclosure statement and in advertising campaigns.

FSCS produces the designs that deposit firms must use when complying with the regulatory requirements. There’s a full suite of materials below, which includes instructions and all the printer-ready artwork.

New FSCS Protected disclosure materials and badge from 1 December 2025

On 18 November, the PRA announced that the FSCS deposit protection limit will be increasing to £120,000 from 1 December.

As per the PRA’s disclosure requirements, firms must update all FSCS Protected disclosure materials with new designs reflecting the increased limit. Firms have a six-month transition period from 1 December 2025 until 31 May 2025 to make the required changes.

We have also launched new designs for the FSCS Protected badge, including landscape and alternate colour variants. Please update the old badge to the new designs whether you display them across all channels within the same window.

Designs and guidance for the new FSCS disclosure materials and badge can be downloaded below.

Reproducing disclosure materials

We recommend the use of professional designers and printers to accurately reproduce the materials. Your designer will insert the name of your firm, along with the names of any brands you share a licence with (if applicable), into the stickers and posters. There are clear instructions with each file. By downloading and using these materials you’re agreeing to FSCS terms and conditions.

UK branches of Gibraltar deposit takers are required to display posters with set wording referring to protection by the Gibraltar Deposit Guarantee Scheme. FSCS does not provide materials for this scenario. The required wording can be found in the Depositor Protection Rules
