We’ve completed our investigation into City One Securities Ltd (City One) in relation to the activities of its appointed representative, St Pauls Marketing Ltd (St Pauls).
Our investigation centred on customers who were introduced by St Pauls to its corporate clients, Hydrology plc (formerly Water Bonds plc) and/or JLG Group plc (formerly The Just Loans Group plc/Just Loans plc) and who then switched their pension arrangements into a Gaudi SIPP in order to invest.
FSCS can consider claims against City One for the actions of St Pauls until 11 October 2015, when they ceased being St Paul’s principal. From 12 October 2015, claims in relation to St Pauls Marketing Ltd carrying out the same activities should be made against Alexander David Securities Ltd.
We’ll shortly be passing claims to one of our assessment teams who will contact customers when they are able to start reviewing their claim.

We've made significant progress with our investigation into City One Securities, concerning the activities of St Pauls Marketing.
We're now developing the process to enable us to assess individual claims. We will provide a further update as soon as we can.

FSCS is placing a cohort of claims against City One Securities Ltd on hold. These claims involve an appointed representative of City One Securities, which is the subject of an ongoing investigation into similar activities while it was an appointed representative of a different principal firm.
The outcome of our investigation may ultimately affect how claims against City One Securities that involve this appointed representative are processed.
We are working to complete our investigation as soon as possible so we can continue processing these claims.
