VTB Capital is a UK-authorised bank, part of the VTB group who are a global provider of financial services. On 6 December 2022 the UK bank entered an insolvency process.
FSCS can only protect deposits held in UK branches of authorised banks. We are working with the appointed administrators to identify if there are any customers that are eligible for FSCS protection. We expect that if there are any eligible customers holding deposits with VTB Capital, there will only be a very small number, and FSCS will contact them directly.
As with any bank regulated by the PRA, FSCS will compensate any eligible customers up to our compensation limits as quickly as possible.
