FCA and PRA appoint new Chair of FSCS

Marshall Bailey has been appointed Chair of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) with effect from 1 April 2018.

On Tuesday 13 February, The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) announced the appointment of Marshall Bailey as Chair of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) with effect from 1 April 2018.

Marshall has substantial experience of leading complex international committees and boards. His background spans a range of sectors, including banking and capital markets, government regulation and public policy, and he has taken a particular interest in working with codes of conduct.

Marshall is Chairman of LCH Group Holdings Limited and an independent director of London Stock Exchange Group plc. He is the non-executive Chairman of CIBC World Markets in London, and a member of the Audit Committee for the London branch.

Additionally, he represents the Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia on the Board of the National Commercial Bank in Jeddah. He volunteers on the Board of the CFA Society of the UK, as well as the East End Community Foundation in Tower Hamlets.
